11 Chawkbazar fire victims identified thru' DNA tests

The Forensic Laboratory of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has identified 11 victims of the recent Chawkbazar fire through DNA tests.

CID’s Additional DIG Rejaul Haider made the disclosure through a press briefing at its Malibagh office on Wednesday.

Nine of them are male and two are females, he said adding that the women are Nasrin Jahan and Fatema Johura.

A devastating fire broke out at a chemical warehouse in Chawkbazar on February 20 which killed 71 people.
