Domestic help beaten to death in Mohammadpur

Jannati, a 12-year-old housemaid, has allegedly been beaten to death in the capital's Mohammadpur on Wednesday night.

The ill-fated used to work in the house of Sayeed Ahmed, executive engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board, Pirojpur, on Iqbal Road in the area.

Meanwhile, police have detained housewife Roksana Parvin for quizzing her in this connection.

Multiple injury marks were found on the body of Jannati, daughter of Janu Mollah, hailed from Bagura’s Gabtoli, said Gopal Gonesh Biswas, Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Police Station.

A case was filed with Mohammadpur Police Station accusing Roksana Parvin and her husband Sayeed Ahmed, the OC added.
