Ward Councillor Manju arrested

Moinul Haque Manju, councillor of ward No 39 of Dhaka South City Corporation, has been arrested during a raid at his office in Tikatuli area in the city.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) 3 operation officer ABM Faijul Islam told the Samakal that a team of the elite force arrested the councillor at 12pm on Thursday.

He was arrested in a case filed under Wari Police Station.

RAB along with Manju is conducting an operation at his residence, the official added.
