Victims’ families to get Tk one lakh each

Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan has said the government will provide Tk one lakh each to the families of the dead passengers of Brahmanbaria fatal train accident.

Sujan made the announcement on Tuesday while visiting the train accident spot.

Strict action will be taken against any irregularity or negligence, said the minister.

The deadly collision took place between two trains around 3.00 am on Tuesday in Mondobagh area of Kasba upazila that killed at least 16 people and injured over 50 others.
