40 gold bars recovered from Biman flight

A preventive team of Dhaka Customs House has recovered 40 gold bars from an incoming flight of Bangladesh Biman from Dubai at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The flight arrived at the airport around 6:10am from Dubai, said a customs official.

Acting on a tip off, the preventive team officials conducted the drive and recovered the gold bars, said Sazzad Hossain, assistant commissioner of customs in Dhaka.

He said that the gold bars were hidden under a seat of flight no. BG048 of the national carrier.

However, nobody was arrested in this connection.
