Flight carrying national footballers lands emergency

The BG-021 flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying footballers of Bangladesh National Football Team made an emergency landing in Dhaka due to technical glitches.

The footballers were expected to leave for Oman on Sunday night to play a selection match of the World Cup and Asian Cup.

It is learned that the aircraft was flown from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 12pm.

After flying in the sky for about an hour, the aircraft made an emergency landing in Dhaka due to technical malfunction.

Confirming the matter, the general manager of the plane (Public Relations), Tahera Khandaker, said the footballers left Dhaka for Oman at 10 am on Monday.
