52nd DU convocation held

The 52nd convocation of Dhaka University (DU) was held on its campus on Monday with the participation of 20,796 graduates.

President Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of the university, is presiding over the gala event at the central playground of the university.

Nobel laureate in physics Professor Dr Takaaki Kajita, also director of the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research of Tokyo University in Japan, attended as the convocation speaker, said a DU press conference.

The convocation began at 11.30am. 

DU affiliated seven colleges will participate in the convocation ceremony from two venues — Dhaka College and Eden Mohila College– through video conferencing.
