Inter-district bus terminals to be relocated: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said all the city’s inter-district bus terminals will be shifted gradually outside Dhaka with a view to easing its traffic congestion.

He told this to the reporters after the 13th board meeting of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) at Nagar Bhaban in the city on Sunday.

Quader also said the meeting has approved 64 parking spots, proposed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in the city aiming to improve car parking facility.

City passenger transportation system will be coordinated with the proposed modern bus terminals, he added.
