Use Joy Bangla in state programmes: HC

The High Court (HC) has opined that ‘Joy Bangla’ should be used a national slogan at the beginning and end of all the state programmes including the Victory Day and Independence Day from coming December 16.

A High Court (HC) division bench comprising Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader came up with the observations while hearing a rule issued earlier in this regard on Tuesday.

Deputy Attorney General ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud Bashar told newsmen that the court has directed the state using the slogan at the beginning and end of every state programmes.

On December 4, 2017, the High Court had issued the rule, asking authorities concerned to explain as to why it shall not pass order to declare Joy Bangla as national slogan.
