1 killed, 25 injured in Keraniganj plastic factory fire

 One was killed and 20 others were injured in a fire at a plastic factory in South Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka

Major Shahriar of RAB-10 said, "The fire originated from a gas cylinder. There were some 200-250 workers in the factory. Of them, one was killed and some 25 were injured in the fire incident."

The injured were admitted to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, police said.

 The factory located at Chunkutia area of Keraniganj caught fire at 4:30 pm on Wednesday.

On receiving the news, 10 fire service units arrived at the scene and doused the blaze at around 5:45pm.

Ershad, a duty officer at the Central Fire Service and Civil Defense, confirmed the matter to The Daily Samakal.
