PM's Military Secretary Zainul Abedin dies

Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin, Military Secretary to Prime Minister, has passed away at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at 5:13 pm local time on Tuesday. He was 59.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Abdullah Ibn Zayed, Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed his death to The Daily Samakal.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of her Military Secretary.

In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
