Road communications with northern districts begin

The road communications between Dhaka and 11 northern districts began on Friday through Dhaka-Bogra highway.

The authorities stopped vehicular movement through the Bhuiyangati Bridge in Raiganj of Sirajganj on Wednesday afternoon as cracks developed in the bridge. 

Construction of the 'alternative road' along the bridge has been completed by the authorities of road, transport and bridges.

So, traffic from 11 northern districts - Bogra, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Naogaon resumed on Friday.
