Police to file case over attack on VP Nur

Police will file a case over the attack on Ducsu VP Nuhul Haque Nur and his supporters that left over 25 injured. Additional Commissioner of Detective Police Abdul Baten confirmed The Daily Samakal that the case would be lodged with Shahbagh Police Station in the city on Monday.

Several people, including two detainees, will be made accused in the case, he said.

Muktijuddho and Dhaka University Chhatra League activists allegedly attacked VP Nur and his followers around 12:45 pm on Sunday at his office. The computers, chairs and furniture of the VP's room were vandalized during the attack.

At least 24 people of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council (BGSRPC), including Nur, were injured in the incident. 

The injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
