Nanak hospitalised

Jahangir Kabir Nanak, a member of the Awami League Presidium, was admitted to a hospital in the city after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

He was taken to Labaid Hospital at around 9am on Monday after he felt chest pain.

Nanak's personal assistant Masudur Rahman Biplob said that after taking him to the Labaid hospital, doctors examined him and found two blocks in his heart. 

Quoting doctors, he said a stent was inserted into one of the blocked arteries.

Nanak was kept in the coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital, he added.
