Crude bombs blast near JCD anniversary prog

Two crude bombs exploded in front of the main gate of the Engineers' Institute in the capital. 

The anniversary of the BNP's student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was being held inside the institute.

The incident took place at around 12:30 pm on Wednesday, said Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abul Hasan.

No casualties were reported in the incident, he said.

Police are scrutinising the incident analysing CCTV footage, he said, adding that  the crude bombs might be thrown out from the moving buses.
