Uniform test for admission to public universities from upcoming session

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to take admission tests in a uniform or cluster system at all public universities of the country from the coming academic year. 

Those will pass from the group of humanities, business and science will take in the admission tests in a single question based on the syllabus of the higher secondary.

The decision was taken unanimously at a meeting with the vice chancellors of Public Universities presided over by Professor Kazi Shahidullah, chairman of the UGC on Thursday, said a UGC press release.

The vice-chancellors of the public universities reiterated their views for conducting admission tests in a uniform or cluster system.

This system will ease to save extra time, cost and travel required to sit for separate admission tests in public universities across the country.
