AL men casting votes forcibly: Ishraque

BNP mayor candidate Ishraque Hossain has alleged that Awami League activists are casting votes forcibly in the Dhaka South City Corporation election.

He filed a written complaint with South City Corporation returning Officer Abdul Baten and the Joint Secretary of the Election Commission Office on Saturday.

In the complaint, Israque Hossain mentioned, "Polling agents of paddy symbol are being driven out from the polling centres and the BNP men are also being prevented by the AL men to enter into the centres. And they are casting votes illegally."

Ishraque allegedly mentioned the names of some centers of several wards.

He requested the returning officer to take action in accordance with City Corporation (Election Conduct) Rule-2016.
