ACC launces probe against transport leader Enayet Ullah

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a probe against Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association general secretary Khandaker Enayet Ullah for allegedly acquiring hundreds of crores of illegal wealth by means of extortion from transport sector.

ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed The Daily Samakal that the investigation was launched against Khandaker Enayet Ullah.

ACC sources said the transport sector leader has been accused of receiving illegal wealth of Tk1.65 crore daily from the 15,000 buses operated on different routes in Dhaka and its surroundings.

Deputy Commissioner of the ACC Nurul Huda sent a notice to the BRTA on January 29 last asking personal information on the vehicle owned by Enayet and his family members.
