3 more deaths, 54 newly infected with Coronavirus

Thee more coronavirus (Covid-19) patients died in the country in the last 24 hours.

With the new ones, the death toll rose to 20 while 54 more new Covid-19 positive cases were detected during the same period, a health official said on Wednesday.

Out of the 54 fresh coronavirus patients, 39 were infected in Dhaka while the rest of them from different parts in the country.

The total number of coronavirus cases has stood at 218 as 54 more people have been infected by the lethal disease, said Director Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora.

She was holding a virtual media briefing at Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) in the city.

So far, 33 people cured from the disease.
