55 die, 3,027 tested positive for corona

Fifty-five people have died from coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh.

Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of DGHS, said this during a briefing on Tuesday.

Some 3,027 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the same period after testing a total of 13,173 samples across the country.

The death toll now stands at 2,151 and the death rate at 1.28 percent, she said.

The total number of infections in the country is 1,68,645.

Meanwhile, 1,953 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.
