Shaheen Iqbal made Navy chief

Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahin Iqbal has been appointed him chief of Bangladesh Navy.

Appointing him chief of Naval Staff after promoting to Vice Admiral, the Ministry of Defence issued a gazette notification on Saturday, said the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate.

Shahin Iqbal replaces incumbent chief Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury.

He will lead the force for three years until July 24, 2023.
