Child dies in Bangshal gas line blast

A one-year-old boy, Moinul, has died after a gas line exploded in a house in Bangshal, Old Dhaka. 

Besides, three members of the family, including the child's parents, were burnt in the blast. 

They have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

The burnt were identified as Jabed, 35, his wife Sheuli, 25, and their four-year-old daughter Jannat.

The blast took place on the ground floor of a two-storey house in Bangshal around 8:15 am on Thursday, said Lima Khanam, a fire service control room official.
