Lab takes responsibility for Shahjahan Khan's daughter's misreporting on Corona

The daughter of former shipping minister and Awami League presidium member Shahjahan Khan was delivered negative report for Coronavirus. Actually, she was reported positive for Coronavirus.

Prof Dr Abul Khair Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, the director of the National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre, made the disclosure at a press briefing on Monday in the city.

"This problem was caused by a mistake made by the data entry operator," he said, adding that “he is sorry for the error.”

The director also claimed that the human error was fixed later.

On Sunday, Oishee Khan went to the airport to fly to London on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines. She showed the Corona negative report to the immigration police. But when the immigration police checked her report online, it was found that she was positive for Coronavirus. Then she was sent back home from the airport.
