ACC sues OC Pradeep, his wife

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed a case against former Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das, the prime accused of the killing case of retired army major Sinha Md Rashed Khan, and his wife for amassing wealth worth Tk 4 crore from unknown sources.

ACC deputy director Mohammad Riaz Uddin filed the case at the integrated court of Chattogram Divisional ACC office on Sunday noon, said Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, public relations officer (PRO) of ACC.

ACC Chattogram divisional office sources said its investigation against OC Pradeep started in 2018.

OC Pradeep and his wife submitted their wealth statement in June of 2019 after they were served notice on April 20 of the same year to do so.

Later, the ACC found clues that they had acquired assets worth more than Tk 4 crore.
