Teknaf OC withdrawn

Pradip Kumar Saha, Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Police Station, has been withdrawn over the killing of Major (retired) Sinha Md Rashed. 

An official at Police Headquarters confirmed the matter. 

Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed was killed in police 'shootout' at Baharchhara police check-post in Teknaf on Friday night.

Two people were arrested and two separate cases were filed in this regard, Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain said on Saturday.

Besides, the authorities on Sunday suspended 21 police officers, including the in-charge of Baharchhara police outpost.
