Probe body submits report over Sinha murder

A committee formed by the Home Ministry to probe into the murder of retired Major Sinha has submitted its report on Monday.

Chief of the committee and Chittagong’s Additional Divisional Commissioner Md Mizanur Rahman handed over the report to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal around 12pm at the Secretariat.

Lt Col S M Sazzad Hossen, a member of the committee, was present at that time.

Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, head of the investigation committee, said, "We have submitted this report after thorough analysis. We have questioned 68 people about the incident.

On July 31, Sinha was shot dead by suspended police officer Liakat at the Shamlapur police check post on Marine Drive in Teknaf's Baharchhara.
