VP Nur sued in another case

Nurul Haque Nur, former vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU), was sued in another case filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with Kotwali Police Station.

The female student of Dhaka University who had earlier filed a case against the six, including VP Nur, with Lalbagh Police Station, filed the case with Kotwali Police Station.

According to the case statement, the accused were charged with rape, abetting rape and assassinating the complainant's character through posts targeting her on social media.

Biplob Bijoy Talukder, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Lalbagh division, said the female student who had lodged the case with Lalbagh police station earlier had filed the case with Kotwali police station. He, however, said that the facts pf two cases are different.
