Students to be promoted to class nine thru evaluation

Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Ziaul Haque said that students will not be promoted to class nine through 'auto-promotion' rather they will be evaluated by any method to promote them to class nine.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the chairmen of the secondary and higher education boards at Bakshi Bazar in the capital on Thursday afternoon. 

At the end of the meeting, the president and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board Professor Ziaul Haque made the disclosure to the reporters.
