AM Amin Uddin new Attorney General

Advocate AM Amin Uddin has been appointed as the new Attorney General of Bangladesh. 

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

The notification said, "President Md Abdul Hamid today [Thursday] appointed AM Amin Uddin, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and current President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, as the Attorney General of Bangladesh."

Amin Uddin will be the 16th Attorney General of Bangladesh.

On September 27, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam died of corona, leaving his post vacant. Mahbubey Alam was the longest-serving chief legal officer in the history of the country's judiciary.
