21 more Covid 19 deaths, 1,508 new infections

Bangladesh recorded 21 more coronavirus deaths and a total of 1,508 new infections during the last 24 hours.

According to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total number of deaths has now reached 5,272 and the death rate stands at 1.44 percent.

A total of 11,420 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours and traced 1,508 new infections taking the total number of people infected to 3,64,987, added the release.

Meanwhile, 1,591 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 2,77,078 and the recovery rate at 75.91 percent.
