PSTC stages protest rally against rape

Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) has organized a protest and solidarity rally in front of PSTC Model Clinic in Aftabnagar in the city on Thursday.

The purpose of the rally is to show solidarity with the nationwide social movement against rape and violence against women.

Wearing black clothes and black masks, a good number of PSTC officers, staff participated in the protest rally. 

Slogans, poems and protest songs were also sung in the rally protesting all forms of violence, and sexual harassment against women.

Speaking at the rally, PSTC Executive Director Dr Nur Mohammad said, "Women are blamed for any kind of abuse, rape or sexual harassment. Women's clothing is identified behind the cause of violence against women. It can never be accepted. The rapist or torturer is responsible for the rape or torture. His inferiority complex, distorted thinking and above all injustice to women are responsible for the heinous crime against women. We are against rape or any form of violence against women and we demand speedy trial and capital punishment for such incidents."
