Fraudster Sikder Liton remanded

A Dhaka court has granted one day remand for Sikder Liton, arrested in dozens of fraud and extortion cases.

He was produced before the court of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Anshari seeking10-day remand plea on Wednesday afternoon. After the hearing, the court granted him a one-day remand.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Senior ASP (Media) Jisanul Haque Jisan said the fraudster was sent to court in a case under the Digital Security Act filed with the Kalabagan police station in the capital. 

Liton, who was involved in various crimes, was arrested by RAB-8 team from Bhanga in Faridpur on Monday morning after being in hiding for a long time.
