BCL leader's helicopter ride to fetch bride

The distance from the groom's house to the bride's house is only five kilometers. The groom hired a helicopter to cross the road. The incident took place on Tuesday at Bishnandi Kalapara village in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj district.

The groom's name is Sakhawat Hossain Sakku. He is the son of Khokan Miah in Bishnandi Kalapara village. Sakhawat is the former general secretary of Bishnandi Union unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League.

It is learned that Sakhawat went to get married on Tuesday in Mukundi village of Araihazar municipality. He married Shahinur Akhter Happy, daughter of Helaluddin, of that village. The groom Sakhawat Hossain Sakku boarded the helicopter from the Bishnandi Mosque ground. The helicopter left for the bride's house at 2:45 pm. The wedding ceremony ended at the bride's house at 4:10 pm. Sakhawat then returned to his village by helicopter with the bride.

According to Sakhawat's family, it was a long cherished desire of Sakkur that if he gets married, he will go to the bride's house by helicopter. His dream and hobby have been fulfilled.
