Cabinet approves 22 public holidays in 2021

The number of public holidays was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.

However, eight out of 22 public holidays will fall on the weekends, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told reporters after the cabinet meeting.

There will be 14 general holidays and six of them coincided with public holidays, he added.
