Mobile court to ensure wearing mask for city dwellers

A mobile court will be conducted in Dhaka to ensure wearing a mask, said Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam.

The mobile court will conduct the operation within a couple of days, he said after the cabinet meeting on Monday.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said the matter has already been informed to the concerned. 

A meeting of the virtual cabinet was held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

The Prime Minister and Ministers from the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat joined the meeting via video conference from Ganobhaban.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the government, at the end of July, made it compulsory for everyone to wear masks outside their homes. 

To ensure that everyone wears a mask, mobile courts are being operated in different districts and unruly people are being fined.
