DG of DGFP visits PSTC’s A&YFHS Centre in Gazipur

Sahan Ara Banu, NDC, Director General of the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) of the Ministry of Health and Family Planning, visited Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Service (A&YFHS) Centre of PSTC in Gazipur on Monday. 

Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) has been working for improvement of living standard of poor & disadvantaged people of the society, said a press release.

It has an own health service centre and training complex at Kawltia, Masterbari, Gazipur. 

PSTC has also its own clinic in the area for serving people especially for adolescent and young people and maternity healthcare.

Sahan Ara Banu along with PSTC’s Executive Director Dr Noor Mohammad, Director LS Ratna Talukder, Deputy Director of DGFP at Gazipur Ms Lazu Samshad Haque, Dr Md Joynal Haque, Program Manager (A&RH), MCH Unite, DGFP visited the clinic as well as observed few activities of Unite for Body Rights (UBR-II) project and a shared views with young people. 

Sahan Ara Banu has formally inaugurated Adolescent Friendly Health Service Centre. 

The visiting team also visited Youth Corner at Mirzapur UFWC.

PSTC’s Head of Programs Dr Md Mahbubul Alam, UBR-II Program Manager Kaniz Gofrani Quraishy and Young professional of PSTC were present during the visit.
