Faridul Haque takes oath as state minister for religious affairs

Md Faridul Haque Khan, the three-time lawmaker from Jamalpur-2, has taken oath as state minister for religious affairs.

President Abdul Hamid administered the new state minister's oath-taking at Bangabhaban around 7:00pm on Tuesday.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam conducted the oath-taking ceremony with presence of only three ministers and few other concerned officials due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Awami League MP succeeded Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, who died on June 14.

Born on January 2, 1956, Faridul Haque Khan hails from Islampur village under Islampur upazila of Jamalpur district.
