14-day institutional quarantine for UK returnees

If any passenger returns from the United Kingdom, the person will have to stay in the institutional quarantine for 14 days at his own expense.

The decision was taken at a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said. 

The Prime Minister took part in the meeting via video conference from her official residence Ganobhaban and other members of the cabinet at the secretariat.

Anwarul said preparations have been made at Diabari and Ashkona Hajj Camp isolation centres while a few hotels will also make quarantine arrangements.
