MPO policy final, application to be invited in Jan

Education Minister Dipu Moni said the application for the MPO registration of the new educational institutions will be called in January. 

She said this at the inaugural function of the book festival at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city on Thursday.

The education minister said the manpower structure and MPO policy of private educational institutions have been finalized and applications for MPO registration of new educational institutions will be called in January.

Dipu said that under the direction of the Prime Minister, some 2,632 educational institutions have been registered with the MPO even in the midst of the Corona pandemic.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the book festival by joining virtually from Ganobhaban.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over the books to some students of secondary level.

"We will not hand over the books to all the students on the same day for the sake of safety," Dipu Moni said, adding, “Each class will be given three days to distribute the books.”
