Fire at factory in Sonargaon doused

An electronics factory caught fire in Tipardi area of Narayanganj's Sonargaon upazila. 

A total of 10 fire service units, come from different areas including Sonargaon, are working to control the fire.

The fire broke out at the factory on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 11am on Sunday. Upon hearing the news of the fire, the locals rushed to the spot, halting the traffic on the highway.

Sujan Kumar Hawlader, station officer of Sonargaon Fire Station, told The Daily Samakal that 10 units including Sonargaon are working to control the fire.

Nothing was immediately known yet about the onset of the fire and the damage.

The fire fighters doused the blaze after four hours of frantic efforts.
