Pry school teachers, staff to be vaccinated by March 20: DPE

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has directed all government primary school teachers and staff to be vaccinated against Coronavirus by March 20. 

All district primary education officers and superintendents of primary training institutes in the country have been directed to ensure coronary vaccination.

The directive was given in a letter signed by Director General of the DPE Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam.

The letter said that under the Prime Minister's directive, all teachers irrespective of age have been given access to registration in the 'Surakkha' app for the purpose of vaccinating Covid-19. In this case, by contacting the concerned health officer, all the teachers and staff of the primary school should ensure that they get the Covid-19 vaccine by March 20. 

It is learned that till March 11, a total of 2 lakh 12 thousand primary teachers and employees have received corona vaccine. The rest of the teachers and staff will now have to get corona vaccine by March 20.

On February 18, the Directorate of Primary Education had directed all government primary school teachers in the country to register for the coronavirus vaccine.
