Cartoonist Kishore gets bail

Cartoonist Ahmed Kabir Kishore has been granted six months bail in the Digital Security Act case.

On Wednesday, the High Court bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Mostafizur Rahman passed the order.

Barrister Jyortimoy Barua was present at the hearing on behalf of the petitioner while Deputy Attorney General Sarwar Hossain was on behalf of the state.

Writer Mushtaq Ahmed died on the night of February 25 while in jail in the case.

On January 13, Ramna police filed a chargesheet against cartoonist Ahmed Kabir Kishore, Rastrachinta member Didarul Bhuiyan and writer Mushtaq Ahmed in the case.
