That bus driver of Hanif Paribahan arrested in Rajshahi

Police have arrested Abdur Rahim, a bus driver of Hanif Paribahan, in a case filed for killing 17 people and injuring several others while driving recklessly in Katakhali, Rajshahi on Friday.

Rahim was arrested from Mahendra Bypass of Belpukur Police Station around 2pm on Saturday, said Katakhali Police Station OC Motiar Rahman.

The arrestee is the son of Fazlur Rahman of Pirgachha village in Puthia upazila.

Katakhali police filed a case against Rahim on Friday night on charges of reckless driving, killing 17 people and injuring several others.

Katakhali Police Station OC Motiar Rahman said the driver of Hanif Paribahan's bus drove recklessly and pushed the microbus, leaving 17 people of the microbus dead and injured several others.
