5 killed in police-workers clash at Banshkhali power plant

Five people have been killed in a clash between police and workers of a under-construction coal power plant in Chittagong's Banshkhali upazila. At least 25 people were injured in the incident.

The incident took place in Baraghona area of Gandamara union of the upazila on Saturday morning.

The clash took place when the workers started protesting with various demands, including salary and allowances, Banshkhali police inspector (investigation) Azizul Islam told The Daily Samakal.
