JS budget session begins on June 2

The Jatiya Sangsad will go into the budget session on June 2.

Tariq Mahmud, Director of the Public Relations section of the Parliament Secretariat, on Tuesday in a press release said the session will start at 5:00 pm.

This will be the 13th session of this parliament.

President Md Abdul Hamid will convene the session, exercising his power bestowed upon him by Article 72 (1) of the constitution.

Business Advisory Committee on parliament will finalise the duration and other activities of the budget session, said the release.

Like other sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic, the parliament session will run maintaining health safety guidelines.

The Finance Minister will present the budget for the financial year 2021-22 in this session. Members of Parliament will discuss the proposed budget throughout the session.
