Chinese embassy seeks 30,000 doses from the gift vaccine

The Chinese embassy has asked for 30,000 doses of corona vaccine from the five lakh doses what has been given to Bangladesh as a gift.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jiming wrote a letter to Health Minister Zahid Malik on May 11 stating that the vaccine was sought for Chinese nationals in Bangladesh.

According to the letter, they want to vaccinate Chinese nationals in Bangladesh at Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in the capital.

Last Wednesday morning, a special flight of the Air Force arrived in the country with a vaccine of five lakh doses of corona from China. 

Later on the same day, Chinese Ambassador Li Jiming handed over the vaccines to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen at a function held at the state guest house Padma.
