President greets people, calls upon to follow health rules

President Md Abdul Hamid has greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festivals of Islam.

He also urged all to adhere to health safety guidelines to control the infectious virus without panicking about the coronavirus.

The President made the call in a video message on Eid day morning.

Abdul Hamid performed Eid prayers with his family members and much-needed officials at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 10 am.

The President said that we have to move forward for living by tackling the Corona situation.

Calling on the rich to stand by the indigent people of the society, the President said, “Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us self-purification and self-control. There are many helpless and distressed people around us. Everyone should try their best so that they are not deprived of the joy of Eid.”

“I hope that the government as well as various non-governmental organizations, social and cultural organizations and wealthy people of the society will contribute as much as they can to help the indigent and helpless people so that Eid brings immense happiness and joy to all,” he continued.

By the way, due to the epidemic, the President is not exchanging Eid greetings this year with the invited guests of different classes and professions at the credential hall of Bangabhaban on the day of Eid.
