Attempts on to collect AstraZeneca vaccine from other countries: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that the government is trying to collect vaccines from China, Russia and other countries amid the corona vaccine crisis.

At the same time, efforts are being made to obtain vaccines of the countries that are developing the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The health minister made the remarks at a virtual discussion meeting on Thursday on what to do to tackle the second wave of Covid-19 and ways to overcome the oxygen crisis.

"We have an agreement with Russia," he said, adding, “We will get another five lakh vaccines from China soon.”

"We should learn from the situation in India what is likely created due to mass gatherings," he said.
