PM instructs not to take risk of corona epidemic

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed not to take any risk of coronavirus infection.

She said if the infection of coronavirus is high in any area; the local authorities will try to bring the corona under control by blocking other activities locally including people’s movement. 

The Prime Minister gave this instruction in an unscheduled cabinet meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday.

Later, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said this at a press conference at the Secretariat.

He said the local administration has been asked to block any area if it needs to do so.

Responding to a question about the coronavirus vaccine, the cabinet secretary said, "We are discussing the vaccine. Insha Allah, something good will happen."
