Pfizer vaccine to be administered in Dhaka from Monday

Pfizer-BioNtech vaccination will start from Monday at three centres in the capital Dhaka.

Initially, a total of 360 people will be vaccinated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Sheikh Russell Gastroliver Hospital and Kurmitola General Hospital, Prof Md Shamsul Haq, Line Director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said this in a regular health bulletin on Sunday. 

He said those who registered but did not receive the vaccine will be able to get the vaccine at these hospitals from 9 am to 3 pm.

Those who receive the vaccine will be kept under observation for seven days and later the vaccine will be given across the country.

Moreover, about 5,000 students studying in China will be vaccinated, the health bulletin said.
